Frequently asked questions

E-invoicing Tunisia, TTN, TEIF: answers to the most common questions.

What is e-invoicing in Tunisia?

E-invoicing in Tunisia is an invoice issued, transmitted and received in electronic format (TEIF XML), in line with regulation. It must be electronically signed and transmitted via the Tunisie TradeNet (TTN) platform to be recognised as "up to date" by the authorities.

What is TTN (Tunisie TradeNet)?

TTN is Tunisia's single window for electronic exchanges related to foreign trade and tax. For invoicing, TTN requires the TEIF (Tax and E-Invoicing Format), electronic signature of invoices and status reporting. Companies must connect to it to be compliant.

How do I sign a TEIF invoice?

A TEIF-format invoice must be electronically signed (XAdES-B). The elfatoora.digital platform handles this step: after generating the TEIF XML and running compliance checks, the invoice is signed and then sent to TTN. You do not need to manage signing yourself.

What is the "Up-to-date" status?

An "Up-to-date" invoice is one that has been correctly transmitted to TTN and whose status has been received and recorded. The elfatoora a-jour platform lets you track this status for each invoice and ensure traceability.
